1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to dashboards.ai ("Platform," "Service," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by meshX (https://meshx.io) ("meshX," "Company"). By accessing or using dashboards.ai, you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and references to "you" include both you as an individual and the organization.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
dashboards.ai is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud-based AI data analytics platform that enables users to:
Connect to and query data from external data warehouses (including meshX Foundation, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery, and other supported data sources)
Interact with data through text and voice queries processed by AI ("Talk To Your Data" or "TTYD" feature)
View, create, and interact with data dashboards and visualizations
Generate SQL queries through AI-assisted functionality powered by large language models (LLMs)
Access analytical insights derived from connected data sources
Leverage AI-powered data analysis and business intelligence capabilities
SaaS Platform Model:
The Platform is delivered as a cloud-based subscription service
No software installation required on user devices
Automatic updates and improvements to the Platform
Multi-tenant architecture with appropriate data isolation
Accessible via web browsers and supported interfaces
2.1 Data Architecture
The Platform operates on a privacy-by-design architecture where:
Your business data remains in your infrastructure. The Platform does not store your underlying business data from connected data warehouses
The Platform stores only query metadata, user behavioral analytics, and usage patterns necessary for service functionality
Data queries are executed against your connected data warehouses, with results temporarily cached according to Section 5
3. Account Registration and Access
3.1 Account Requirements
To use the Platform, you must:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
Have the legal authority to enter into these Terms
3.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for:
All activities that occur under your account
Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
Ensuring that your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations
3.3 Enterprise Accounts
For enterprise or organizational accounts, the organization's administrator is responsible for:
Managing user access and permissions
Ensuring compliance with these Terms by all users within the organization
Configuring data source connections and access controls
Maintaining appropriate security measures for organizational data
4. Acceptable Use Policy
4.1 Permitted Use
You may use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree to use the Platform in a manner consistent with:
All applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
Your organization's data governance and security policies
The intended functionality of the Platform as a business analytics tool
4.2 Prohibited Activities
You agree NOT to:
Access data you are not authorized to view or query
Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security features
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
Use the Platform to transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Platform except as explicitly permitted
Use the Platform in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers
Interfere with any other party's use of the Platform
Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices on the Platform
Use the Platform for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
4.3 SQL Query Execution
When using AI-generated SQL queries:
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all SQL queries before execution
You acknowledge that AI-generated queries may contain errors or inaccuracies
You must ensure queries comply with your organization's data access policies
You understand that query results depend on the accuracy of the AI-generated SQL and the data in your connected sources
5. Data and Privacy
5.1 Your Data
Data Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to your business data stored in connected data warehouses. The Platform does not claim any ownership rights to your data.
Data Storage Principles:
Your underlying business data from connected warehouses is never stored in the Platform's infrastructure
The Platform only stores query metadata, usage analytics, and cached query results as described below
5.2 Data We Collect and Store
The Platform collects and stores:
Usage and Analytics Data:
User interaction patterns and behavioral data
Feature usage statistics and session information
Performance metrics and error logs
Navigation patterns and user preferences
Query Metadata:
SQL query structures and patterns (not the underlying data results, except as cached)
Query execution times and performance metrics
User-generated query descriptions and annotations
Cached Query Results:
Temporary storage of query results for performance optimization
Cache duration and retention as configured by system settings
Cached data subject to automatic expiration
Account Information:
User profile information, authentication credentials
Organization and team membership data
User permissions and access control settings
5.3 Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect usage statistics and improve the Platform. Google Analytics may collect:
Device and browser information
Page views and navigation patterns
Session duration and interaction events
Geographic location (country/city level)

5.4 Data Security

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you use the Platform at your own risk.
5.5 Data Retention
Cached query results: Retained according to cache expiration policies (typically 15-30 minutes)
Usage analytics: Retained for up to 24 months
Account data: Retained for the duration of your account plus any required retention period
Upon account termination, we will delete or anonymize your data according to Section 15.4
5.6 Privacy Policy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
5.7 GDPR Compliance (For EU/EEA Users)
For users in the European Union and European Economic Area, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the following rights:

6. Data Source Connections
6.1 Connection Authorization
You are solely responsible for:
Providing valid credentials for data warehouse connections
Ensuring you have authorization to connect to and query data sources
Maintaining the security of connection credentials
Complying with the terms of service of connected data platforms
6.2 Data Source Permissions
By connecting a data source, you:
Grant the Platform permission to execute queries on your behalf
Represent that you have authority to grant such access
Acknowledge that query permissions are governed by your data warehouse's access controls
Understand that the Platform will execute queries using the credentials you provide
6.3 Connection Security
We implement secure connection protocols, but you acknowledge that:
You are responsible for managing data warehouse security settings
You must implement appropriate network security measures
You should use least-privilege access principles for connection credentials
You must promptly revoke Platform access if credentials are compromised
7. Intellectual Property Rights
7.1 Platform Ownership
The Platform, including all software, algorithms, user interfaces, designs, graphics, and documentation, is owned by meshX and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights to the Platform.
7.2 Limited License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform solely for your internal business purposes.
7.3 User Content
You retain ownership of any content you create using the Platform (dashboards, query annotations, custom configurations). By using the Platform, you grant us a limited license to:
Host, cache, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service
Use aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve the Platform
Create derivative works for service improvement purposes
7.4 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Platform, we may use such feedback without any obligation to you, including for product improvements and development.
8. AI-Generated Content and Disclaimers
8.1 AI Functionality
The Platform uses artificial intelligence to:
Generate SQL queries based on natural language inputs
Provide data insights and analysis
Generate visualizations and dashboard recommendations
Interpret and summarize data patterns
8.2 AI Limitations and Disclaimers
IMPORTANT: AI-GENERATED CONTENT MAY CONTAIN ERRORS
You acknowledge and agree that:
AI-generated SQL queries may be inaccurate, incomplete, or incorrect
You must review and verify all AI-generated queries before execution
AI-generated insights and analysis may be imperfect or misleading
The Platform does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI outputs
You are solely responsible for business decisions based on AI-generated content
YOU MUST INDEPENDENTLY VERIFY ALL AI-GENERATED CONTENT BEFORE RELYING ON IT FOR BUSINESS DECISIONS
8.3 No Professional Advice
The Platform provides analytical tools and AI assistance but does not provide:
Professional advice (financial, legal, medical, or otherwise)
Guaranteed accurate predictions or forecasts
Recommendations that replace human judgment and expertise
9. EU AI Act Compliance
9.1 Applicability
The Platform incorporates artificial intelligence systems, including large language models (LLMs), that are subject to the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act, Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) when serving users in the European Union or European Economic Area.
9.2 AI System Classification
Under the EU AI Act, the Platform's AI systems are classified as follows:
General-Purpose AI Systems: The Platform utilizes general-purpose AI models (including LLMs) for:
Natural language processing for the Talk To Your Data (TTYD) feature
SQL query generation from natural language inputs
Data analysis and insight generation
Dashboard recommendations and data visualization suggestions
Risk Classification: Based on the current intended use cases, we classify our AI systems as limited-risk AI systems that require transparency obligations under the EU AI Act.
We continuously monitor our AI applications and will update this classification if use cases evolve to higher-risk categories.
9.3 Transparency Obligations
In compliance with EU AI Act transparency requirements, we inform you that:
AI-Generated Content Identification:
Content generated by AI systems (including SQL queries, insights, and recommendations) is clearly identified in the user interface
The TTYD feature prominently displays that responses are AI-generated
Users are notified when interacting with AI-powered features
AI System Information:
The Platform uses large language models from reputable providers (including Azure OpenAI and similar services)
AI systems are designed to assist with data analysis and query generation, not to make autonomous high-risk decisions
Human oversight and verification are required for all AI-generated outputs
9.4 User Rights Under EU AI Act
If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

Receive clear information about how AI systems process your inputs
Understand the capabilities and limitations of AI features
Access documentation about AI system functionality
Right to Explanation:
Request explanation of AI-generated outputs, including SQL queries and insights
Understand the logic behind AI recommendations
Access information about data used to train or fine-tune AI models (where applicable)
Right to Human Review:
Request human review of AI-generated content before relying on it for decisions
Contest AI-generated outputs that you believe are incorrect
Receive human support for AI-related issues through our support channels
Right to Opt-Out:
Disable AI-assisted features and use manual query tools where available
Choose alternative methods for data interaction that do not rely on AI
9.5 AI System Safeguards

9.6 Data Used by AI Systems
Input Data:
User queries and prompts submitted to TTYD and other AI features
Database schema information (table names, column names, relationships) necessary for SQL generation
User preferences and interaction history to improve AI responses
No underlying business data from your data warehouse is used to train AI models
Training Data:
General-purpose AI models are pre-trained by third-party providers on publicly available datasets
We do not use customer-specific business data for AI model training without explicit consent
Any fine-tuning or customization uses only aggregated, anonymized patterns
Data Processing Location:
AI processing may occur in cloud regions including EU, US, and other locations
Data transfers comply with EU data protection requirements (GDPR)
Appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place for international transfers
9.7 AI System Limitations and Risks
We transparently communicate the following limitations and risks:

AI may generate syntactically correct but logically incorrect SQL queries
AI responses may contain outdated information based on training data cutoff dates
AI may misinterpret ambiguous natural language queries
AI performance varies based on query complexity and database schema complexity
AI may produce inconsistent results for similar queries

Business decisions based on AI-generated insights without verification may be incorrect
AI-generated queries may not align with your organization's data governance policies
Over-reliance on AI without human verification could lead to data misinterpretation
AI systems may reflect biases present in training data

9.8 Reporting AI Incidents
If you experience significant AI system malfunctions, errors, or incidents that:

Violate your rights under the EU AI Act

10. Service Availability and Modifications
10.1 Service Availability

The Platform will be available at all times without interruption
The Platform will be error-free or secure

10.2 Maintenance and Downtime
We reserve the right to:
Perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice
Conduct emergency maintenance without notice
Temporarily suspend access for security or technical reasons
10.3 Service Modifications

Change pricing and subscription terms with notice
Update these Terms as described in Section 18
We will provide reasonable notice of material changes affecting your use of the Platform.
11. Fees and Payment Terms
11.1 Subscription Fees
Use of the Platform requires a paid subscription unless otherwise specified. Fees are:
Billed according to your selected plan
Subject to change with 30 days' notice
Non-refundable except as required by law or specified in your subscription agreement
11.2 Payment Authorization
By providing payment information, you:
Authorize us to charge the applicable fees
Represent that you have authority to use the payment method
Agree to maintain valid payment information
11.3 Late Payment
Failure to pay may result in:
Suspension of access to the Platform
Account termination after reasonable notice
Collection of outstanding amounts plus reasonable collection costs
11.4 Taxes
Fees are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for all applicable taxes except those based on our net income.
12. Warranties and Disclaimers
12.1 Limited Warranty
We warrant that the Platform will perform substantially in accordance with our documentation under normal use.
12.2 DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

THE PLATFORM WILL BE SECURE OR FREE FROM VIRUSES
ERRORS OR DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED
YOU ASSUME ALL RISK FOR USE OF THE PLATFORM AND ANY BUSINESS DECISIONS BASED ON PLATFORM DATA.
13. Limitation of Liability
13.1 EXCLUSION OF DAMAGES
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR:
INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, OR LOST DATA
BUSINESS INTERRUPTION OR LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY
COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES
DAMAGES RESULTING FROM AI-GENERATED ERRORS OR INACCURACIES
DAMAGES FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF DATA
DAMAGES FROM SYSTEM FAILURES OR DATA LOSS
THIS APPLIES WHETHER LIABILITY ARISES FROM CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
13.2 CAP ON LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE LESSER OF:
THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR
$1,000 USD
13.3 Essential Purpose
You acknowledge that these limitations of liability are essential elements of the agreement between you and us, and that we would not provide the Platform without these limitations.
13.4 Jurisdictional Limitations
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless meshX, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to:
Your use or misuse of the Platform
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
SQL queries you execute or business decisions you make based on Platform data
Your connection to or use of third-party data sources
Content you submit or share through the Platform
Any negligent or wrongful conduct by you or your users
We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims.
15. Term and Termination
15.1 Term
These Terms commence when you first access the Platform and continue until terminated as described below.
15.2 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
Canceling your subscription through account settings
Contacting our support team
Ceasing all use of the Platform
15.3 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately without notice if:
You breach these Terms
Your account shows suspicious or fraudulent activity
You engage in prohibited activities under Section 4.2
Required by law or legal process
Your payment is overdue (after reasonable notice)
We may also terminate your account for convenience with 30 days' notice.
15.4 Effects of Termination
Upon termination:
Your right to access the Platform immediately ceases
You must cease all use of the Platform
We will delete or anonymize your account data and cached query results within 30 days, except as required for legal compliance or as specified in our Privacy Policy
You remain liable for all fees incurred prior to termination
Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 5, 7, 9, 12, 13, 14, 16, and 17) will continue to apply
15.5 No Refunds
Except as required by law, fees paid are non-refundable, and we will not provide refunds or credits for:
Partial subscription periods
Unused features or services
Termination or suspension due to Terms violations
16. Dispute Resolution
16.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] to seek informal resolution of any dispute. We will attempt to resolve disputes in good faith within 30 days.
16.2 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
16.3 Jurisdiction
For enterprise customers located in the UAE or Gulf region, any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
For other users, disputes shall be resolved according to the jurisdiction specified in your subscription agreement, or if none is specified, in the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
16.4 Arbitration (if applicable)
Where arbitration is specified in your subscription agreement, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the applicable arbitration rules, rather than in court.
16.5 Class Action Waiver
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE PARTIES' INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
17. General Provisions
17.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any subscription agreement you have entered into, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform.
17.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
17.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
17.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction. Any attempted assignment in violation of this section is void.
17.5 Force Majeure
